Preparation starts before a month from the day of Chinese New Year and people start buying presents, decorative materials, food and clothing. During the Chinese New Year, Chinese people from all around the world return home and have reunion dinners with their families.
The Chinese New Year is quite similar to the Western one and is rich in traditions, folklores and rituals. It is also considered as a combination of the Western Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year and its celebration last for 15 days.
