Jum'a-tul-Mubarak or Friday is considered to be the most auspicious since it was said by Prophet Muhammad that Adam was created on this, admitted to the Garden on a Friday and also expelled on this very day. Therefore, Friday is considered to be the best day to offer prayers. The time duration is also given special emphasis. All businesses and tasks are to be left aside and people are to collect together and offer prayer.
All Muslims are required to take a bath on Friday compulsorily. The prayer of Salat which has to be offered to Allah is preceded by a sermon by the Imam. However, it is also stressed to keep the sermon small and the prayers long. The Jum'a-tul-Mubarak prayers begin with a call by the Muezzin makes to the people. Then follows the adhan which is the beginning of the Jum’a. The Khatib then gives a speech which is then concluded by the Dua. The muadhin then follows to make the iqama. At the end, two rak’at prayer.
