Another belief is also there amongst the Muslims. The Lailat-ul-Qadr is considered to be the night when their fate is to be decided for the following year. Therefore to make it better, people pray all night to Allah and wish to get salvation and mercy. Ehyaa is the practice which embodies all these prayers to Allah.
According to the Qur’an’s verses, this night or Lailat-ul-Qadr is said to be better than one thousand months. During this month of Ramadan which is considered to be the holiest, people practise charity and pray for long stretches. This night can be any one of the odd-numbered days in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan which thereby makes the Muslims to take extra efforts to pray. Some people even remain in the mosque for ten days at a stretch to pray which is called as I’tikaf.
